PCIe 5.0 FYI Workshop

  • Member Online Registration – Register Here
  • Dates: January 10 –  14, 2022
    • Registration Deadline: December 8, 2021
    • Location: Embassy Suites Burlingame, Burlingame, CA

Important Logistics:

  • The primary goal of this event is to assist in the development of the PCIe 5.0 Compliance Program. Testing will focus primarily on the electrical tests at (Tx, Rx and LEQ) 32 GT/s only. Link Transaction, Configuration Space and interop tests are available but these will be limited in test coverage.
    • To participate, your Device must:
      • Support 32GT/s
      • Implement a fully functional LTSSM
      • Implement full link and transaction layer support at 32 GT/s
      • Be capable of full PCIe 5.0 protocol
      • Generate 32 GT/s compliance pattern via polling.compliance and accept the Tx Compliance signal from the CBB
      • Be able to enter loopback via recovery
    • Any DUT that isn’t able to meet the above requirements will be a lower priority device for correlation tests and undergo reduced testing
  • Your product must support PCIe 5.0 (32GT/s ) in order to attend this event. Please note that products tested during this event will not be eligible for the Integrators List.
  • Each registration may have an additional two attendees accompany the product, up to a maximum of three onsite personnel. NO onsite registrations will be allowed during the event. For attendees the standards will be consistent with our Compliance Workshops held in Beaverton. There will be daily check-ins, mask guidance, and social distancing guidance. We understand this is a fluid situation and will update accordingly with San Mateo County guidelines.

The PCI-SIG is conducting correlation measurements during this workshop. To facilitate this correlation work we ask that you present the same physical copy for all electrical test and please refrain from making updates during your devices between electrical tests. Since this correlation work will take a major amount of time during this workshop we ask that if possible you bring multiple copies of the same DUT. It is anticipated that unlike previous workshop that parallel testing of a DUT will occur during this workshop. For example one copy of your DUT may test in an electrical test suite while another copy is undergoing one of the protocol tests. Your help in providing multiple copies to complete this correlation effort is appreciated.

Please be advised that for this workshop we will try and honor your admittance to this workshop on the usual first come first served basis. With the correlation efforts going on at this workshop, we may change this policy based on the distribution of Add-In Cards and Systems being registered. The PCI-SIG is planning to start official Integrators List testing in April 2022 and this correlation work is crucial to keep this effort going. We ask for your understanding in the PCI-SIG deviating from normal registration policies.
